During the past few years it´s been managed ,to the „traditional“ golf courses like Carlsbad, Karlstejn, Marian´s spa etc.,  to built several new great courses which can equal with the european standard. Today, the czech golf covered almost the entire map of the country – they are dozens of quality golf courses nearby natural wonders and historical monuments.

Golf Resort Konopiště

Golf Resort Konopiště is situated 40 km to the south from Prague and it is the largest golf resort in the Czech Republic. It offers play on two 18-hole master courses: Radecký, D’Este (par 72) and one 9-hole course Public (par 29). Of course, you will find there also very good training facilities, rental of golf carts and other equipment, as well as pro shop.

In the heart of this resort you will find a hotel offering 55 luxurious double rooms and two suites. The resort has large "spa & wellness" center. There are two pars “4” with an average length of 200 m on the course, the average length of pars “3” is 125 m, there are also bunkers and water hazards. This course is available also to players without a handicap and the fee is perceived as an all-day fee.

Golf - Radecký course

The master 18-hole course par is 72; the course length is 6,484 metres from black (professional) teeing areas. In cooperation with the European PGA it was possible to create a course sensitively embedded in the landscape with slight terrain waves, with an interesting forest section, many bunkers and water hazards, and especially with high-quality, large and lovely modelled greens. The course name “Radecký” is derived from one of the original owners of the estate, famous marshal from the Napoleonic Wars - Václav Radecký of Radeč.

Only players with a valid HCP (i.e. at least 54) are allowed to play on this course.

Golf - d´Este course

The master 18-hole d’Este course par is 72 and the course length is 6,086 metres from white teeing areas. The course is sensitively embedded in the landscape with slight terrain waves, it features many bunkers and water hazards. A dominant place is the island green of the hole no. 9. The name of the course is connected with Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’Este, heir to the Austro-Hungarian Throne.

Only players with a valid HCP (i.e. at least 54) are allowed to play on this course.

Karlštejn Golf Resort

The first 18 holes of Golf Resort Karlštejn were opened in 1993. The project originates from two Canadian golf architects, Les Furber and Jim Eremko. These two architects have been responsible for more than 70 golf courses around the world. Two of the most famous golf courses they have designed for and developed are the “Valderama” in Spain and the “Varadero” in Cuba.

At Karlstejn, a very unique place was created, thanks to a careful, sensitive approach of integrating a golf course into a picturesque countryside, where the romantic scenery comprises of Karlstejn, one of the most famous of Czech castles and the residence of many Czech kings. With hilly landscape containing limestone rocks, rich fauna and flora, the golf course is an oasis of calmness and peace that will gratify the most demanding players.

In 1997, the course had the honour of hosting the European Tour. A number of golf stars from all over the world took part in this tournament. The winner, Bernhard Langer, won with a score of 265 (-20) after four rounds. The record-holder is Swedish player Patrik Sjöland with 61 strokes in the second round of the Chemapol Trophy, which took place on August 8, 1997.

In 2008, the current 18 hole course was enlarged on the South slope of the Voskov hill by new 9 holes. Designed by the Furber/Eremko team again, it connects with the existing course perfectly. The project benefits from the natural stripes of mature greenery. With narrow fairways, three ponds and numerous sand bunkers, it is a relatively difficult and technical course, where the planning of shots and the strategy of the game is important to achieve an excellent score.

“Easy bogey, difficult birdie” was the designer´s strategy while building the course, enabling golfers of different levels to play together.

Located in the protected landscape area of Karlštejn with rare species of plants and animals, Golf Resort Karlštejn provides an excellent opportunity for active relaxation, only 15 km from the city of Prague.

Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně

The Marianske Lazne Golf Club course may serve as an example of Scottish and Irish golfing architecture from the end of the 19th century. The course lies on an upland plain 787 meters above sea level, built under the governance of Scottish professional Robert Doig of Musselburgh. It was opened in 1905. Therefore it is the oldest course in The Czech Republic.

The course forms a clearly bounded area. Only holes No.2 and 3 go out of the compact course boundaries. They were built in 1978 to replace the non-regular old ones. The greens are relatively small (but well protected by bunkers), especially when compared with newly built courses. Most of the course lies on a plain terrain. It seems to be easy at first sight. However, players find many hazards and places demanding an accurate and technical play.

It is surrounded by a pine forest so that even on very hot days, it is a fine place to be. The surrounding picturesque landscape is natural, not harmed by any construction or buildings. The air is full of oxygen and saturated with ozone, so that it is a real cure for your lungs.

With its “Indian summer” and beautifully coloured leaves, autumn will conjure up an idea of a golfer’s paradise.

Golf Resort Karlovy Vary

Originally a 9-hole course was located on a 2.3 hectare piece of land that was in the area of today's Gejzirpark (Geyser Park), on the southern outskirts of the City. It´s one of the oldest golf clubs in Bohemia, but also in Central Europe.

Due to the increasing popularity of the sport, discussions were initiated in 1928 on the possibility of constructing a brand new 18-hole golf course. The top expert at that time, the Paris architect C. Noskowski, was hired to layout the new course. The new eighteen-hole course was completed under his guidance in 1933. Recent renovations, together with the construction of a clubhouse and technical facilities, give rise to a world-class golf resort, where many international events are held. It is considered to be one of the five most mature and most beautiful courses in the Czech Republic. The course stretches over a hilly landscape at 600 mt above sea level. It requires good techniue, since it has many narrow fairways lined by thick woods. Golfing beginners and golfers with a single handicap alike are bound to be fascinated by its beauty. After your round, don´t miss out on the opportunity to relax in the club wellness centre.
